The ZonuSkyShot GPS Tester is a compact GPS receiver that detects the presence of a GPS signal and reports and indicates this at the top panel LED. Additionally, this GPS receiver can be accessed at the USB port on the Base Unit allowing the user to see the available satellites and record (NMEA File) using the app provided with the system. The app is also available on the Optical Zonu website. The receiver can simultaneously track up to 16 satellites while searching for new ones. An example is shown on the following page. This feature allows the user to verify the OZC Fiber at the Edge connection, independent of any other equipment.

Simply connect the ZonuSkyShot to any RF output of an Optical Zonu GPS Fiber Transport, GPS at the Edge or GPS Over Fiber with the short SMA RF jumper. The unit can be plugged into AC power with the AC adaptor included for charging and/or operation. If the GPS signal is being received, the GPS LED will blink red. For more detail, a laptop can be connected to the unit via the micro USB port. Using the downloaded software, the constellation and received signal levels for all visible GPS satellites are shown. The operator can save this data for future reference or load prior data (NMEA) for comparison or training. The ZonuSkyShot has an internal battery that is recharged with an AC adaptor, included. There is an On/Off switch to save battery power. A sufficient battery charge is indicated by a red PWR LED.
